My Favorite Questions

Wednesday, January 30, 2008 | Wayne Mulligan
Not only do I enjoy seeing something that I built help so many other people, but what I really love is learning something new for myself. When I see you or some of the other members ask a question about a topic I’m interested in, I go crazy waiting for the answers to come in.
Here’s a perfect example:
Yesterday one of our Top TickerHounds, sundarkambam (view profile), asked the following question:
Is Jerome Kerviel being framed?
Now, I’m not sure if I buy into conspiracy theories, but sundarkambam (view profile) makes some very valid points in his argument. And at the end of the day, I’ve always questioned whether or not Kerviel was just a “fall guy” for the higher ups in the organization.
So I was delighted when another Top TickerHound, MNSL (view profile), posted a great answer. Click here to read it now!
That one was more about my personal interests, but I also love some of the questions that discuss specific stocks. These are the questions that really get me excited because I know somebody is going to actually profit from the information they get on TickerHound – and not just the person who asked the question either.
From what many of the members have been telling me, they learn A LOT just by answering questions. It forces them to really think through a trade or do extra research into a tax issues or a stock. Here’s a great example:
One of our newer members, MONMON (view profile)asked the following question:
I’m looking at XHB, O and VMW – would it be a good idea to buy these stocks now?
So our Top TickerHound of All Time – EthanR – stepped up and gave a great answer to this question. Click here to learn more about these stocks now.
This was more of an “informative” question and answer, meaning you had to be informed about those stocks to begin with to really appreciate it. But this next question is something I think everybody who’s reading this has asked themselves at one time or another:
Another one of our new members, kcognevich (view profile), asked the following (classic) question:
Where can I find a list of all available ETF's with an explanation for each ETF?
Now, if you haven’t asked that question before, I’ll bet that you just thought to yourself, “Wow, that would be a good piece of information to have!”
Well, now you can have the answer to that burning question by clicking here now.
There are a few other questions that I’d like to briefly list – some of them haven't been answered yet so you still have a great shot at earning the full 10 points for answering it! So get started now by clicking on the questions below:
