Rating:

AM LISTING THE MISTAKES THAT INVESTORS GENERALLY MAKE.SO I AM ALSO A INVESTOR.

I STARTED OFF WITHOUT EXPERIENCE.

I BELIEVED IN RUMOURS.

I TRIED TO AVERAGE THE TRADES.

I DID NOT PLAN FOR THE TAX.

I DID NOT BELIEVE THE STOCK MARKET.

I INVESTED IN COMPANIES WHICH DID NOT HAVE GOOD MANAGEMENT CADRE.

I INVESTED IN UNKNOWN MANAGEMENT IT PAID SOME TIMES BUT MOST OF THE TIMES I LOST.

I INITIALLY NEVER DECIDED A PROPER PLACE AND AND FILING AND RECORING SYSTEM FOR MY INVESTMENTS.

I MADE FREQUENT TRADING INCREASING THE COST AND TAXES.

I DID NOT FOLLOW TECHNICALS.

THE STOCK MARKET HAS ITS OWN LOGIC.

I NEVER KNEW THAT I HAVE TO SELL TOO.

I TRIED TO TIME THE MARKET.

I BECAME A SECULATOR.AND I HAD BECOME ADDICTICTED TO SPECULATING.

Very good, Sandesh! Lol, if those are the only mistakes that you made, you are doing great! I think I made that many this year alone. My worst mistake was selling winners too early and so I missed out on some great profits because of it.

As long as we learn from our mistakes though, we are better the next time. I suggest that you print your list out and hang it on the wall by your computer screen so you can see it each time you are tempted to make any of those mistakes again.

Recommended book: Trading for a Living, by Dr. Andrew Elder. He talks about the psychology of traders and how human emotions cause more problems for traders than anything else.

Best of luck in 2008 with your trading!
