Who's really to blame for this financial crisis?

Seems like everyone is pointing the finger at everyone else. The most common and most convenient to blame is the fat cats on Wall Street. Everyone is saying they should have been more honest and less greedy. Come on, that's just ridiculous. Wall Street is about making money... by any means possible. They want to do what they want, without any restriction or accountability.

Who's really to blame for this financial crisis... Congress!

The buck literally stops here - they make the laws and control the spending for this country. Your Congressional representatives are supposedly elected to represent the people and protect the stability and prosperity of this country. Sadly, that is the last thing on their agenda. You've heard the theory, the one who points the finger elsewhere first, is generally the one who's guilty. Congress was first to point the finger at Wall Street.... think about it.

Here is a list of your Congressional representatives priorities, from most important to least important...

Themselves, their fat cat donors, their affiliated party, lobbyists, PACS, their good ole boy/girl friends and cohorts in Congress, anybody else who has money and needs a favor, including foreign companies and governments.............

sadly, at the end of their list, America and it's citizens.

Your Congress - bought and paid for by Financial industry campaign contributions/LA Times:

http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-polmoney23-2008sep23,0,1365898.story

The Financial industry is not alone in their efforts to sway and manipulate the decisions in Congress; far from it. Company and industry lobbyists and special interest groups swarm the halls of Congress every day, with unlimited piles of money to get their way. Your Congress, Democrats and Republicans, for sale to the highest bidder.

Who in government, is looking out for the people of this country?

No one! That's the problem. To make an analogy, one of the roles of Congress is to oversee and keep this country strong. They are in a sense, the parents of business and industry, making rules and regulations that keep them on the right track. Business and industry need guidance and restrictions, just like children need someone to look out for their best interests. One of the principle duties and responsibilities of Congress and it's individual members is to guide and protect this nation... not to be available for sale to the highest bidder, like a common prostitute.

When you vote in November, lets clear the Congress of ALL incumbents and vote in a new group.

Let's make a statement, as the people, that we are sick and tired of our elected representatives being bought and paid for. Bring in a new group that will represent the people. But that's just the beginning. There is another key element... the people need to pay attention to what their government is doing. Not just every couple years at election time, or when there is a crisis... but every day!

The party politics - schemes, manipulations and lies.

If you think being a loyal Democrat or Republican is the answer to the country's problems, it's not. The parties have their own agenda... and it's not about the people they supposedly represent. The party politics are designed to keep the citizens angry and busy fighting each other over contrived issues. That way, the party's leaders and their regimes are free to manipulate things to their benefit. Don't be their puppet... be an American!

If this all makes sense to you, pass it on... it's time the people spoke up for themselves.

It's time for another American Revolution!

I agree completely and without hesitation that all incumbents should be voted out of office. But I also think we the people should not have to worry about the corruption caused by a Congressperson being in office for too long. There are term limits that Congress(both houses) are supposed to abide by. Yet they just break the law and are not held accountable. How is it possible to have term limits and the rest of Congress even let them step foot into any congressional panel, committee, hearing, etc.? They wrote the law and enacted it and now break the law and ignore it.

Barney Frank, Christopher Dodd. These two are primarily the ones who forced banks to make the loans they did. They are directly responsible for the whole problem and should not be allowed to go anywhere near this legislation being written to bail out the companies they made go into bankruptcy. (Ambac, Lehman, IndyMac, Countrywide, AIG, Wachovia, Bear Stearns, and so many more) Their inept action, ignorant monitoring/regulating caused millions of people to lose their retirement and savings investments. Now so widespread it has affected all other sectors of the markets, including the futures markets. Even the metals which normally move up when these events take place, have not made significant moves up in relation to the losses the markets have suffered. Those directly responsible for the regulation and oversight of the industry should be jailed permanently and made to do hard labor. Those two have sat there manipulating the banks and financial sector to their own profit making. Barney Franks gay lover who at one time ran a gay call man business out of Franks residence in DC is who was in charge over at one of the two mortgage giants Freddie Mac or Fannie Mae. Please tell me how the hell they were not doing things that are against the law? How the hell could they not know the problems they were causing and that their activities were by any definition illegal? Why was Franks lover given such a position not only because of the conflict of interest it has, but also what qualifications did the former organizer of a prostitute ring for homosexual men have that qualify him to run such a mortgage giant? I don't think bone smuggling is a good enough qualifier. Guess who does? Barney Franks. The manipulation that has been done and the damage it has caused can almost be considered treasonous. I say this because the sheer amount of financial destruction it has caused has not only been felt across this nation, but has spilled over into all the other countries on the planet. Also because of the deficit it is causing all taxpayers to pay for. I am surprised other nations leaders are not demanding accountabilty and trials in the World Court. Seriously. It's not just individuals that have lost incredible amounts of worth or value in their capital and investments. The governments who bought mortgage derivatives to help balance their budgets are not amused. I am sure the holders of our currency are also not too happy either. And what is their answer and solution? To do the same things that caused the problem but on a larger scale astronomically. We'll be using C-notes to light our fires this winter since paper really is only worth paper. Generally Accepted Accounting Principals? These need to be declared illegal and a return to true accounting with real numbers and figures be restored.

Your right on the money but I have to say I believe the Democrats must take most of the blame on this one. Although they will not take any.
