Leaving a healthier country to our children
Thursday, September 4, 2008 | George Taylor (geo_taylor) Is this Spam?Mr. Jovine:
Everyone talks about what their particular "entitlement" means to the inhabitants of our nation as a whole. Health plans, social security, farm support, any and all entitlements are part of the problem and not part of the solution.
I want to remind everyone that the reason we pay more for everything is because we have monetized our debt. So, to stop inflation and to have money for the doctor or anything else, look at this thing from the reverse angle.
Make the pieces of substance that we use which we call money WORTH something that everyone wants. Back it with something that has INTRINSIC value. Read about other countries and what their experiences were when spending beyond their means, and then tell me why you think we're exempt from experiencing the same results.
Get back to following the Constitution literally! If the Constitution says to do something, then do it. If not, then don't do it. Example of this is why we give money to our neighbors in other lands. I never found that in the Constitution.
We must stop sowing to the wind and expecting crop failure instead of realizing that we will reap the "whirlwind."
I could go on and on, but you get my point.
Thanks
