What to Do if the Crash Smashed Your Account

Editor's Note: Before I start, I want to say congratulations to Kelly P. out in Ohio!  She was last week's winner of the free Options GPS options-education system that's being released on Sept. 25!  All she did was ask a question we selected to answer on the Morning GPS call, where we answer your options questions daily.

Tycoon readers,

I'm debating whether or not to jump out of an airplane this Saturday ...

... with my 79-year-old grandmother, Susie Mann ...

Who's been told by doctors she has about six months to live after being diagnosed with stage 4 intestinal cancer.

My Inspiration

Interested in the finding the strength that's projected from a woman who has played a big part in MY story?

Susie Mann's words gave me lots of strength after I was told at 15 I would never walk again.  When her son was paralyzed from the neck down at 16, she told him, "It's time to count the muscles that work."  Her daughter, my step-mother, Louise Weadock, would talk to me very bluntly about the difficult situation I had found myself in.

I can go on and on about many other words of wisdom she's shared, but I want to really drive my point home on how this relates to everyone reading this.  She's recently been featured on "The morning show" on CBS because they're following her story and, if you're interested, I'll give you a link to a short video on her below.

She decided to refuse treatment that would extend her life, and she's created a "bucket list" of things to do.  So far, Susie swam with sharks, paddled down a rough river on a raft, and harnessed herself to a bungee cord and jumped off a 400-foot cliff over Africa's Zambezi River.  Skydiving is next on the list, and I'm not yet sure I have the guts to join her.

What this means to you ...

It's Time to Win on Your Terms

There are many things that we, at TycoonU, can offer you that will help you on your path to living the lifestyle that you chose (or want) to live.  We can give you education -- we can give you information, research and opinions, all from Wall Street veterans.

But the one thing we can't give you is the fire that some need to have lit beneath them, in order for you to stand up after getting smacked around by life (whether financially or medically or both) and say, "You can't stop me.  I'm gonna fight, and I'm gonna win."

It's so easy to lay down, as a victim, after you're been dealt a tough blow.  It's incredibly difficult to stand up and keep on going and doing what you know you should do.  That can be the case whether you were diagnosed with terminal cancer, or millions of other situations in life that are less severe than that.

Many people have had their faces ripped off by the stock market recently, and I'm telling you right now: I've been there.

I've made and lost millions, and as soon as I developed my understanding of options trading and investing, it opened doors for me that allowed me to live how I wanted to.

Because I know a lot of people out there are taking a dim view on life, financially or otherwise, I wanted to share the story of Susie Mann, a strong woman who has set a great example on attitude -- not just this year, but throughout her life.  As you could imagine, Susie's daughter, Louise Weadock, a nurse who founded a major nursing and health care provider, was as shocked to hear that Susie wanted to refuse treatment as the doctor who delivered the news!  But Louise Weadock quickly got right behind her mother in getting the word out to the rest of the world in order to show everyone that you don't have to let life knock you down.  You can get up and fight and enjoy it every day.

And I believe that this does relate to the audience I'm writing to in that -- in one way or another, at some point -- everyone finds themselves with their back against the wall.

The question is, at that point, what are you going to do?

Pioneer Your Own Path to Happiness

The thought of a family member receiving that kind of news from a doctor is very personal and very private, but she is going public with her story and people around the globe are backing her up!

She gave me permission to share this with The Tycoon Report readers because she knows there are people out there who will take this story, and turn it into their own happiness in some way.  She knows there are lots of people who are faced with an outlook, and they can look at it in one light or another. And if she can set a great example on how to LIVE, as opposed to exist, then I should publish this story.

Hearing her words at a young age influenced my decision to NOT lay down after being confined to a wheelchair.  THAT'S pretty powerful stuff.

We at TycoonU.com can't teach that kind of stuff.  And many people need to change their own paths and start along those paths to happiness.  So, you can watch a short video on what she's doing by visiting this link

You can also follow the story by checking out the blog that my brother set up by visiting this link.

What does freedom mean to you?

What will you do with YOUR back against the wall?

Will you stand up and fight?

Wish me luck Saturday.  I'm 99% sure I won't jump out of a plane.  But hey, ya never know. ...

    CHRIS ROWE HERE,

    Dear Alan,

Actually it was a GREAT call. The reason is odds STRONGLY favored a sharp sell-off. If I wake up tomorrow and tell you "the world will probably not explode today" and I was wrong, that doesn't make it the worst call in history.

Okay, that's an extreme example, I know. But the odds ENORMOUSLY favored a sharp sell-off and we only got about 9%.

Sorry if you lost money on that - really. You have to know however that trading the stock market is about trading when the odds weigh heavily in the favor of an outcome. Betting the world WILL explode tomorrow, and then having it happen, doesn't mean it was a great call. Not in THIS business anyway.

If I jump out of an airplane Saturday, whether the shoot opens or not, odds favor success don't they?

I wish you luck in your investing going forward. THe great thing about making a call that doesn't pan out is when we use stock replacement strategies and trade options, the most you can possibly lose is a fraction of the money invested.

Understanding how to use leverage to make your portfolio safer is what makes it okay to be wrong. If you want to understand how to do this, for future reference, go to http://ogps.tycoonu.com/options and watch the video in the top right corner and I'll explain how it works for free.

Maybe people have had their "face ripped off"

by your call of a June market crash on May 26. That was literally the worst call in the history of investing. Since I don't read all your emails, I don't know if you had the guts to acknowledge it, but I doubt it.

I hate flying and have never had the desire to jump out of an airplane but I think if she were my Grandma (I wish she was), she would probably inspire me enough to just say go for it. I would never want to have that feeling of regret and if only. Knowing your Grandma, she probably has going to heaven as the last thing on her bucket list. I hope to meet her there some day. In the meantime, I will strive to have more of an attitude like her as life is too short. She's cool!!!

I went skydiving 2 weeks ago, and although i was hesitant leading up to it, its a completely different feeling once your on the plane, climbing higher and higher.

It comes down to the fact that jumping tandem, your strapped to a professional who has been doing hundreds, maybe even a thousand jumps every year for many years. If he's pulled it off 3000 times without serious incident, don't you trust him to do it again?

    Good luck Chris

    Thanks for the inspiration!!!

I've decided to stop sitting around and watching the market and to go out and live and enjoy every moment of every day I have............

Please tell your mom that her interview has brought me great joy and that I'm sure her attitude will buy her more time than the chemo would.

You have been blessed in the genetic lottery to get such a special mom.

question yourself why you arent goin to jump. then question yourself what it would mean to her if you was to jump w/ her. then put all selfishness aside and and grab her hand and free fall to earth
