Why we should pay for The Tycoon Report(TTR)

Thursday, August 2, 2007 | (rajan_rsgd) Is this Spam?

Rating:

I can't remember for how long I have both benefited and enjoyed reading TTR, must be more than a year.I now subscribe to a subscription based service offered by Chris Rowe the Trendrider. It took me some months to decide and why did I decide on it?

The reason is very simple, I TRUST the team and find all of them customer oriented.very hard to find these qualities these days.why am I suggesting that we the readers of TTR should pay for the service:

1)In my opinion providing such an excellent report costs money and effort,to enhance it also costs money. There is a limit to how much "free" service we can expect.I wish to see TTR continue for years to come.

2)I prefer to promote a "family" of readers who value the service and are serious participants.

3)Any injection of money can only benefit us the TTR "family".I have no idea how many readers we currently have, but even say USD10 (ten dollars) per month I am sure will be a useful contribution on our part(less than 50 cents per day!)

FYI I live in Singapore and this suggestion is entirely my own idea.I will be happy to further justify my proposal if asked to do so.

we should treat the TTR as "ours" and ensure it continues for a long time.I hope the management team will publish this and do not feel that I am "plugging" TTR.looking forward to all your responses.

thank you & regds

    I agree with ken long...

The free feature of the tycoon report is the best part of it...

it attracts people and validates the capability of the management team...

it's just a matter of time before people will believe that they do have heart in helping us out

    individual investors...

I too am planning to subscribe to their paid services after I solve my own business expansion problems so I can afford to invest without the worry of losing more than I can afford....

without the free tycoon report....I would never have known these guys great expertise and would have never interested to even go back to this site ever again...

so let tycoon report be as it is...

it's great for everybody....both the investors and the management....

And, for the few of us who are trying to make the most of our modest nest eggs (I'm an actor, for goodness' sakes!), at $10 a month I would never have subscribed and would never have been blessed with the wealth of knowledge the site provides. Nor would I have known well enough to have scrimped and saved a measly thousand smackeroos so that I could join Teeka's ETF Trader gang. Nor would I be currently considering Fallen Angel Stocks, considering my own deplorable track record at investing.

So one could argue that "free" is smart 'cause it shows heart. (You guys can use that one, if you like.)

Why is this even in the member articles?

There are certain major problems with the idea of charging for Tycoon Report. For free Tycoon Report serves a purpose, it draws in and unites a broad base of potential customers. This kind of deicated, interested, loyal, group is difficult to come by in this business without a service such as this one. The idea of charging 10$ per month is ludicrous, sure you might have a few die hard fans who dont know any better, but once you put yourself in the 100$ per year catagory you are up against an avalanche of competition, and customer expectations. No one pays that kind of money and continues to pay it without serious, specific expectations. Its nice to be loyal, dedicated, die hard fans, but use some common sense or you will be out of money before you can begin to think.

If Tycoon Report wanted to, and I dont think they do, they could consider spliting the service btween a free service and a subscriber only service, but I'm not sure that would serve their purpose as well as what they already have.

In the future please try to keep the published member articles pertinant and useful. I get really tired of hearing people spout poorly formed retoric, kiss up opinions, or crap that they dont really understand and are only repeating because it sounded good when someone else said it. In this case it simply shows lack of knowledge about what is accually available for free, and the high quality many of these free articles, services, and publications really are.

It seems that there are an exceptionally large grouping of traders who have found their way in this business who enjoy talking and writing about it, some do it for fun and to improve their own trading, some do it because they would like to run a small service and its a great way to show their style and raise interest, some do it just because they like to hear themselves talk.

Bottom line is, theres a huge amount of good information out there if you know where to look. In order to avoid most of the crap, it helps to follow the links offered by sites you know and have come to trust, however the real hidden gems are usually offered by individual traders writing blogs. Try alphatrends.blogspot.com and follow some of the links Brian offers that seem interesting, then follow some of the links offered on those sites. Theres a whole world of smart informative people out there who are willing to share what they know and have learned about trading the markets. Way past the hypsters and hucksters trying to suck you into a service.

    Ken Long

Brians blog is by no means the best or only one. Its simply one that came to mind because I like the way he thinks and presents his info. The trick is to find and bookmark people who relate to you in a way thats valulable, and to slowly build your own base of knowledge.

In addition to Ben's comments, I would also like to say that there is no way I would ever subscribe to any of the paid services without getting the chance to experience the greatness of this team through the free offering first. The expense can be considered advertising or marketing, and the money can be made from the "for pay" services. This is a great way for the team to show their abilities and attract more paying customers.

Having said that, now that I know how great this is, I'd certainly pay $10/month for it, but I don't think that would cover the loss of those who can't sample for free first. It's the same reason ice cream shops have sample spoons. :)

    Good reading

Rajan - Your check's in the mail. Just kidding, but we do appreciate your praise and loyalty. Ta simple reason that The Tycoon Report is free: the more individual investors who read this newsletter, the more smart investors there will be, and the harder it will be for Wall Street's big money to continue making billions at your expense.
