As you can see, I’m coming to you on a different day and with a different look and feel.  I’m now flying the TickerHound flag and with good reason – TickerHound.com has officially launched!

You can go to the site and quickly get a feel for how it works, but I think it’s worth taking a minute and explaining exactly what we’re trying to accomplish with TickerHound.

The TickerHound Mission

The TickerHound mission was and always has been to educate and empower individual investors.

So when we went about building TickerHound, we asked ourselves, what’s the biggest problem individual investors have?  How can we solve it in the most effective away possible?

And after speaking with thousands, if not tens of thousands, of individual investors just like you, I think we came up with a fantastic solution.

TickerHound is one of the first web sites of its kind – you can come to the site, ask any finance or investing question you’ve ever had, and get a concrete answer to it!

You can ask anything you’d like – from basic questions (e.g. “What is an average?”) to the more complex (e.g. “What do you think of MSFT for a short-term trade?”) – it doesn’t matter; as long as it’s something that pertains to the markets, money or personal finance, then TickerHound should be the first place you come to for your answers.

Now, I could go on and on about how great the site is, but the only way you’ll know for sure is by visiting www.tickerhound.com now and trying it out for yourself.

Ask as often as you’d like, but remember that in order to keep the community active and valuable, you should give as much as you get.  The more questions you answer, the more likely you are to have your questions answered by other members in the community.

What To Expect in The Tycoon Report

We’re going to have some extremely exciting things going on over at TickerHound for the next year.  So I’m going to do my best to keep you up to date on everything.  Here are some of the features I’ll go over each week:

1.  Highlights – I’ll pick out the most popular or hottest topics on TickerHound for that week and highlight the best questions, answers and members who participate in those topics.  It’ll give you a good idea of what’s going on in the market that week as well as what’s going on within the TickerHound community.

2.  TickerHound Weekly Challenge – Each week I’ll choose five of the most difficult questions on the site and challenge you and other Tycoon Report members to answer them.

My feeling is that you and the other members are a cut above the rest and will be up for the challenge.

We’ll even be holding formal contests from time to time where you can win prizes such as free subscriptions to Tycoon services!

3.  Site Enhancements – Each and every time we make a change to the site, I’ll let you know right here BEFORE anybody else knows about it.  I’ll also be introducing features that aren’t available to the general public, which will give you the first shot at testing them and providing feedback, which means the site will get built the way YOU think it should be.

I really want to make this site as good as I possibly can, but I can only do that with your help.  Reason being, the site is not for me, the site isn’t about TickerHound “the company”…it’s about YOU!

It’s about you and all the other individual investors who are looking to take their financial futures into their own hands!

So please send in feedback, and send it in often!  You can shoot an e-mail to feedback@tickerhound.com whenever you have a thought or idea that could help the site or the mission we’re on together.

I personally can’t wait to hear your thoughts – I think this is going to be a very exciting year for us all, and I’m thrilled to have you and the other Tycoon Report members on board for the ride!

See you at TickerHound!

P.S.  Be sure to check out the TickerHound Blog to keep up to date on the latest news and events over at TickerHound.
